The Velcro In Our Lives

I was reading an portion of a book re-printed in a monthly magazine about attachments.
Her comment: emotional isolation really resonated with me. It pretty much described my childhood, and certainly explained my journey to find a safe harbor in new friends.
Which I have been successful gathering. But, being attached to someone else came at a price; I had to let go of my fears of being overwhelmed and overpowered. That was my childhood experience as well. (I am the youngest in the family.)

So now that I am on the other side of emotional isolation, I gotta tell ya', it's the only place to be. It's worth the anxiety, it's worth the pain, it's the only way to live a content life.
